Published: 2009-04-21Veolia Transport offers internet access onboard – free of charge – with technology from Oxyfi and mobile broadband from ice.net.
Veolia Transport operates Mittnabotåget that services Sundsvall-Östersund-Trondheim. They have recently introduced an internet access system onboard from Oxyfi. Ice.net supplies the trains with mobile broadband.
Since December 2008 have passengers onboard Mittnabotåget had internet access free of charge along 41 stations along Sundsvall-Östersund-Trondheim.
When the passenger starts his or her laptop, the browser is redirected automatically to a web portal where login and other services are provides. Once logged in, the internet can be used free of charge.
